Benchmark Mutual Fund has launched a new open ended debt scheme, Benchmark Short Term Fund. The new fund offer will be available from 29th June, 2010 to 12th July, 2010. The minimum investment amount of the scheme is Rs 10,000. The investment objective is to enhance returns with minimum risk by investing in a portfolio of money market and debt instruments while maintaining the safety and liquidity. The scheme would allocate upto 100 per cent of assets in debt instruments having residual maturity upto 1 year. It would further allocate upto 50 per cent of assets in debt instruments having a residual maturity between 1 year and 3 years. Debt instruments may include securitised debts upto 50 per cent of the net assets. The scheme will be managed by Ms. Payal Kaipunjal and will be benchmark against CRISIL Liquid Fund Index.
