HDFC Mutual Fund has declared that its HDFC Mid Cap Opportunities Fund, which is a close ended scheme, will be converted to an open ended scheme. The change will be effective from 25th June, 2010. After the conversion to open ended scheme the fund will charge 1 per cent exit load, if units are redeemed within 1 year from the date of allotment. HDFC Mid Cap Opportunities is equity scheme with investment objective to generate long term capital appreciation from a portfolio that is substantially constituted of equity and equity related securities of small and mid cap companies. The scheme will be benchmarked against CNX Midcap and will be managed by Mr. Chirag Setalvad.
